Our more than centenary olive grove, mainly of the Hojiblanca variety, is located within the Natural Park of the Subbética Sierras. Protected since 1988, this unique ecosystem is defined by its enormous ecological and landscape richness. which becomes evident in each of the valleys and mountains that mold their land of karstic origin. This provision greatly hinders the harvesting that has to be carried out manually mechanized; nevertheless, the oil obtained carries a personality so exclusive that it can hardly be reproduced anywhere else.
Our family is committed to the knowledge and dissemination of the olive cultivation culture from the origin, from the olive grove. For this reason, the social project “www.ApadrinaUnOlivo.es” offers the possibility of carrying out several activities that will undoubtedly make our sponsors fall in love with the environment and our extra virgins: The tasting is fundamental to differentiate the different types of oils that the consumer finds in the market. Through this activity guided by an expert taster, any interested person will be able to know the whole elaboration process, recognize varieties and identify qualities. Before the tasting session, there is a guided tour of our centenary olive grove to learn about the terrain which are the typical varieties of our area, how they are grown and how they are harvested. Any of the above activities can be complemented with a guided tour of one of the most beautiful villages in Spain and finally, a breakfast that will make us enjoy our surroundings together with this delicious olive juice.
To get a large oil and ensure its quality from the olive grove to the mill, and then to the consumer, it is necessary to have a human team involved and sufficient resources. So in authorized laboratory, through quality analysis and
purity that we make all our extra virgin olive oils in organic production, we certify a raw material and final product according to the demands of any market.
